During the first week after surgery, avoid wearing wired bras, as they can cause discomfort and irritate your chest, especially with drains in place.
During the healing process, your breast drains will be taken out. Afterward, your chest will continue to recover. If you’re still experiencing discomfort or sensitivity, it’s best to avoid returning to normal bras just yet. Many people find comfort in wearing a camisole, surgical bra, or wireless bra during this phase.
During this time, your chest may still be sensitive or swollen, so it’s best to wait 6 to 8 weeks after surgery before getting fitted for a new bra.
