Shipping and Returns

Regular Shipping & Delivery

Nightingale Medical offers free shipping within much of Canada* on all orders of $150 or over, before taxes. If your order is less than $150 before taxes, we charge a flat $15 fee for shipping to those areas within Canada*. In the case of an emergency or for new patients being discharged from the hospital, we can ship next day to many urban locations.

 *Remote areas of Canada, which include Northwest Territories, Yukon and Nunavut, are not eligible for the free shipping rate.  A flat rate of $40 for shipments under 15 kgs (34 lbs) applies.  For shipments above 15 kgs, an overweight surcharge will apply; we will contact you directly before shipping to confirm this surcharge.  Please contact us for more information at 1-800-663-5111 or info@nightingalemedical.ca for any questions.

Shipping Policy

  • Shipments are delivered Monday to Friday, excluding Canadian statutory holidays.
  • Shipments are delivered using courier or Canada Post, depending on your location and cost management
  • A tracking number will be provided to you after you place your order.
  • Delivery times vary depending on your location.
  • We stock most popular items in our warehouse for fast shipping. In-stock items are generally shipped out on the same or next business day from the date you place the order (Monday-Friday).
  • Items that are not stocked in our warehouse (e.g. special order items) can take up to 2 weeks to be shipped from our warehouse.
  • We will notify you of backorders, and when you should receive them.
  • For convenience, customers typically request three months of ostomy supplies per order.

Shipping Policy During Canada Post Service Disruption

In the event of Canada Post service disruptions, we will make temporary shipping changes to ensure you continue receiving your deliveries without delay as noted:

  • Alternate shipping methods will be utilized which may increase shipping times and fees for retail and wholesale orders
  • We are unable to ship to PO boxes
  • For apartment deliveries, package notices may be left outside if foyer access is unavailable

Returns

  • All returns must be sent prepaid or returned in person to Nightingale Medical Supplies Ltd.
  • Returned items must be in sellable condition and original packaging; items will not be accepted if opened, marked or coming from smoking households
  • All returns could be subject to a restocking fee and non-stock items will be charged a 20% restocking fee
  • Custom product and hernia belts are not returnable
  • Personal wear products are not eligible for return or exchange.
  • Items cannot be returned after 90 days
  • Return must be approved by management before a refund is issued
