Skin barrier arcs offer versatile usage both under and over an ostomy pouching wafer.
Under the pouching system:
Place the skin barrier arcs directly on the irritated skin around the stoma to create a smooth surface for pouch or wafer adhesion. These arcs shield the skin from damage caused by frequent tape and adhesive removal.
Over the pouching system:
Position the skin barrier arcs around the wafer to secure edges, preventing lifting, creasing, or loosening. Use 1-3 arcs around the perimeter for optimal adhesion. They serve as an excellent alternative to waterproof tapes, ensuring a waterproof seal during bathing, showering, or swimming.
These arcs are an effective tape substitute and are available in small and large sizes. They are water-resistant with strong adhesion yet gentle on the skin.
