Spring has sprung at Nightingale Medical Supplies! With the season well on its way, we wanted to share a nutritious and delicious recipe for a spring smoothie bowl. This recipe features FiberCel Fiber Powder and adds 5g serving of fiber to conveniently add fiber to any diet!

Ingredients:

For the smoothie:
  • 1 cup frozen mixed berries (such as strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 1 ripe banana, frozen or fresh
  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • ¼ cup almond milk (or any milk of your choice)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, adjust sweetness to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional, for added texture and nutrition)
  • 5g of FiberCel Fiber Powder
For topping:
  • Sliced fresh fruits (such as kiwi, strawberries, banana, mango)
  • Granola or muesli
  • Shredded coconut
  • Chopped nuts (such as almonds, walnuts, or pecans)
  • Edible flowers (optional, for decoration)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Smoothie Base:
    • In a blender, combine the frozen berries, banana, Greek yogurt, almond milk, honey or maple syrup (if using), vanilla extract, and chia seeds.
    • Blend until smooth and creamy. If the mixture is too thick you can add a little more almond milk to reach your desired consistency.
  2. Assemble the Smoothie Bowl:
    • Pour the smoothie into a bowl.
  3. Add Toppings:
    • Arrange the sliced fresh fruits, granola or muesli, shredded coconut, and chopped nuts on top of the smoothie.
    • Feel free to get creative with your toppings and add any other fruits, nuts, or seeds you like.
    • For an extra touch, you can garnish with edible flowers for a beautiful presentation.
  4. Enjoy:
    • Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious and nutritious Spring Smoothie Bowl!
