Step Up for Ostomy is back for the whole month of October, on a mission to raise awareness and funds for ostomates living across Canada. This year, Step Up for Ostomy, invites you help Ostomy Canada raise $100,000 for Canadians living with an ostomy, and is proud to be a gold sponsor for this amazing cause.

An ostomy is a lifesaving procedure, which involves rerouting the path that bodily waste travels through due to complications in the digestive system. Ostomies can be temporary or permanent, and involve different kinds of surgical procedures that are performed for a specific reason, such as a colostomy, urostomy and ileostomy. An ostomy is often a hidden condition, and living with an ostomy can at times be challenging, which is why it is important to raise awareness and education about the procedure and find ways in which we can all support ostomates and improve their quality of life.
